Notice of AGM

Venue: Staglands Wildlife Park, Akatarawa Valley, Upper Hutt.
Date: Saturday 14th May
Time: 10am (Tea & coffee will be served from 9.30am free of charge)

12-12.30pm Lunchwill be available at the Staglands cafeteria. Cost to members to be advised

9.30am  Workshop

1pm: Guided walk through Staglands with Rangers

11am WellingtonPoultry Show Upper Hutt- Members to provide own transport

2-4pm: Rare Breeds AGM

12-12.30pm Lunch at Limelight Cafe at Expressions Venue Space (same venue as Poultry Show)

6pm: Drinks  Staglands cafeteria, BYO wine & beer.

3.30pm Afternoon Tea at Staglands café and farewell

7pm: Dinner will be available at the Staglands cafeteria at a fixed rate. Menu to be advised

 

Accomodation is available at the Wellesley Country Park estate, 2120 Akatarawa Rd, Upper Hutt www.wellesleycountrypark.co.nz

  • 2km (3 minutes) drive from Staglands.

There are four options available:

  • 4 bedroom house @ $240 per night
  • 2 bedroom units  with ensuite bathroom @ $120 per night
  • Cabins with shared bathroom facilities @ $25 per night (+ linen)
  • Dormitory style bunks @ $18 per night

If you want to book accommodation, contact Molly at Staglands on 04 526 7529. If you need a ride to the event from Wellesley Country Park estate, please advise Molly when you book; as there is no public transport available to Staglands.

Staglands Wildlife Reserve is nestled in the Akatarawa Valley and is 25 minutes from Waikanae and Upper Hutt. Both routes are well signposted.
  • From Waikane- turn off SH 1 at the traffic lights at the northern end of the town. Staglands is 20km along this road, winding through beautiful native bush.
  • From Upper Hutt, turn onto Akatarawa Rd 400m past the Caltex station. Staglands is 16km along this road, winding through a rural valley studded with lifestyle blocks.
