Rare Breeds Society of New Zealand

There are a number of rare livestock breeds currently found in New Zealand. These range from breeds for which numbers are so small that their survival is endangered, to minority breeds which need to be kept under surveillance. The Rare Breeds Conservation Society of New Zealand was formed to conserve, record and promote these breeds with the particular aim of maintaining genetic diversity within our livestock species.

British Kune Kune Pig Society

In 1993 the British Kune Kune Pig Society was set up. As all the original pigs that were imported had full pedigrees it was vitally important to set up a studbook from the start, to register the pigs in this country. To achieve this, and also to promote the breed and look after its welfare the society was started.

Dutch Kunekune Pig Society

The Dutch Kunekune Pig Society (DKKPS) was established in 2009 in collaboration with the British Kunekune Pig Society. The DKKPS is run on a non-profit basis and issues and keeps an administration of Kunekune pedigrees for members in the Netherlands and on the European Continent. Membership of the DKKPS is open to anyone: if you are already a prospective owner, existing breeder, pet owner or if you are simply interested in learning more and helping Kunekune pigs.

The Kunekune Preserve, USA

The Kunekune Preserve, USA, has the largest herd of purebred New Zealand registered Kunes. Kunekune Preserve was born in 2007 with 8 boars and 14 sows.  All of our beginning stock was carefully bred in Kansas by Katie Rigby before her retirement.

American breeders, Jim and Lori Enright

American breeders, Jim and Lori Enright, offer quality kunekune piglets of soundness, type, and substance. The Enrights are committed to the conservation and improvement of the breed through the breeding, keeping, and showing of Kunekune pigs. They are also founders of the American Kunekune Breeders' Association.

American KuneKune Breeders' Association

The American KuneKune Breeders' Association was founded in 2006 by Jim and Lori Enright of USA KuneKunes.  AKBA was formed to provide information and support to KuneKune fanciers and provide to breeders of  purebred KuneKune Pigs in America a means of breed program record keeping in the form of an official registry.

The American KuneKune Pig Society

The American KuneKune Pig Society is run on a non-profit basis to further the interest of the pigs, the pedigree and lineage of the breed, and those who love to keep them.
